Mission
Hackney Play Association (HPA) was set up in 1972 by a group of parents campaigning for improved play provision in the borough. On registering as a charity in 1976, HPA adopted the constitutional object of improving: "the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupations for children resident in the London Borough of Hackney with powers in furtherance of its objects, to generally improve play provision... through liaison with local, regional and national agencies" |
