The Child's Right to Play underpins the work of Hackney Play Association.

UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

All children have the right to play. The right to play is enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is recognised by the UK government.

Every child has the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts.
