HPA Community Champion Hub

Our 2 HPA Community Champions, who are existing Playworkers, will be working with children, young people across our settings and indirectly with parents/carers over the next year. Their role will be to: –

  • Share current information linked to COVID-19 Test, Track and Trace and healthier lifestyles
  • Gather views from our Hackney Play Association community on views towards topics like the COVID 19 vaccine.
  • Organise fun activities relating to promoting healthier lifestyles (e.g., grow a herb garden, make a mask)
  • Put together with children and young people an end of year art exhibition, made up of art, poems, etc., linked to feelings towards COVID-19 and healthier lifestyles.

The Community Champions will also be supported by 2 Young People Community Champions at each of the playgrounds.

This page will also list useful links to services in and around Hackney and relevant guidance that could help clear up anything that is unclear or offer some useful health related tips.
